Monica Ortloff (translated by Liane Jeschull):
This bibliography will collect references to works that consider AAC speakers from a scientific linguistic
perspective. Since there are already many references available from the Speech Language Pathology
perspective or sociolinguistics perspective, we will not focus on those areas, but will include links to other
More specifically, we focus on research in these central areas of the scientific investigation of human
language: syntax, semantics, morphology, phonetics, or phonology; the psycholinguistics of language
production, perception, and comprehension; the acquisition of natural language by children; the acoustics
and physiology of speech; and the biological bases of language in the brain.
We will be adding references to this bibliography as time goes on. Stay tuned!
